Coastal Trout Patterns – A modern approach to tying cutthroat flies
This class will introduce a modern approach to cutthroat fly tying for local waters to the west coast of Vancouver Island.
Instructor Dennis Gamboa has been teaching professional fly tying classes for over 10 years. From tiny trout flies to large epoxy saltwater patterns, Dennis is a true master of the art of fly tying.

You will learn how to frame underbodies and learn proper methods for sleeving. A variety of tube materials. New methods will also be introduced such as, masking or taping. We will cover the proper uses of epoxy resin and methods for mixing and curing. Stacking materials and proper head building will also be reviewed The methods for applying hot glue will also be covered.
